This memorial website was created to remember our dearest friend, William Lester Agambar,  who was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 1, 1939 and passed away on March 25, 2007. You will live forever in our memories and our hearts.

William ‘‘Bill” Lester Agambar Sr., 67, of Huntingtown died March 25, 2007, at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick.

Known as Bill or Pops, he was born Dec. 1, 1939, in Baltimore. He was employed as an electronics technician for the federal government. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, and touched everyone’s life with his wealth of knowledge. Known as a ‘‘Jack-of-all-trades,” he enjoyed camping, dining at seafood restaurants, good cigars, cruising the Caribbean, splitting wood and, most of all, tinkering around his home in his sweatpants, and slippers. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite saying was ‘‘Who has more fun than people?”

He is survived by his wife, Betty A. Agambar of Huntingtown; daughters, Susan E. Richard and husband Ricky of Lusby, Sandy L. Baki and husband Jeff of Lusby, Sharon M. Langley and husband Kim Alan of Lusby, William L. Agambar Jr. and wife Brenda of Prince Frederick, Mark A. Agambar and wife Billie-Jo of Huntingtown and Mark A. Quade of St. Leonard; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 30 at Rausch Funeral Home Chapel in Owings. The officiating minister was the Rev. Gary Fruik. The interment was at the Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens.

The pallbearers were Jason Langley, Charlie Marino, Mark Agambar, Billy A. Agambar, Mark Quade, Ricky Richard, Justin Langley, Guy Manley, Billy Agambar Jr., Doug Agambar, Joey Agambar and Bob Wellcome.
